Florida Fence Options
Florida can be hot. Florida can be cold. Florida can be wet. Florida can be dry. This can all happen in the course of 24 hours. Sometimes the heater is on in the morning and the A/C is on in the afternoon. Most of the time though, Florida’s pretty much hot.
Fortunately, here at Fence Dynamics we can install fencing throughout the entire year. There’s no frost line as the ground never freezes down here. Most of the time? We’re just digging in sugar sand.
That being said, different types of fence products do well in the Sunshine State, and others don’t. Let’s talk about the different types of fence materials that are out there.
- Chain link: Holds up well in the sun and rain, but saltwater may affect the overall lifetime of the steel as it can rust. Available galvanized or with colored vinyl coating.
- Wood: This type weathers quickly. The sun and rain takes its toll on wood fencing. We construct a very attractive wood fence out of Southern Yellow Pine, which looks great at first but will eventually succumb to Florida weather.
- Ornamental aluminum: A very beautiful product that holds up great in the Florida climate.
- PVC Vinyl: This is our primo, proprietary product. We manufacture the Pro-D Panel right here in our facility in Port Charlotte — a 6-foot tall white or tan PVC fence that comes with a lifetime material warranty.
These are just a few of the most popular options available for your fence installation.
